Orlando Solar Bears Sign Forward Brendan Harris
The Orlando Solar Bears have agreed to terms with forward Brendan Harris for the 2026-27 season. Harris joins the team from the Nottingham Panthers, where he helped them win the Elite Ice Hockey League championship and the IIHF Continental Cup in the 2025-26 season.
With six seasons of professional experience in North America and Europe, Harris has played over 230 games in the AHL, ECHL, and EIHL. In 230 ECHL games with the Wheeling Nailers and Jacksonville Icemen, the 30-year-old scored 196 points (63 goals, 133 assists). He also accumulated 46 penalty minutes and a +34 rating.
Harris earned ECHL All-Star honors in the 2023-24 season. He set career highs with 45 assists and 66 points, leading Jacksonville in both categories. That performance also led to a three-game call-up to the AHL's Cleveland Monsters.
Before his professional career, Harris played four seasons at Bemidji State University, recording 56 points (17 goals, 39 assists) in 104 NCAA Division I games.
Prior to college, Harris spent four seasons in the BCHL, USHL, and NAHL. He had a standout 2016-17 season with the Wenatchee Wild, leading the BCHL with 98 points and earning the Vern Dye Memorial Trophy as the league's MVP. He was also a BCHL First Team All-Star and won the Bob Fenton Trophy as the league's Most Sportsmanlike Player.
