Thuram: Inter Shows Resilience, Praises Bonny's Impact

Marcus Thuram believes Inter's repeated comebacks demonstrate their strength as a team that "knows how to react." He specifically lauded the impact of substitutes like Ange-Yoan Bonny following their thrilling 5-3 victory against Udinese.

The match evoked memories of Inter's past "Pazza Inter" era, known for its dramatic flair. For the second consecutive league game, Inter trailed 2-0 at home before rallying to secure the win.

Following their 3-2 triumph over Napoli, Inter again overcame a deficit against Udinese. In a game featuring eight different goal scorers, Carlos Augusto, Nicolò Barella, Marcus Thuram, Francesco Pio Esposito, and Ange-Yoan Bonny all found the net.

“I don’t think we need a shock. We play many games, and sometimes our approach might be off. But we've proven we are a team that knows how to react,” Thuram told Sky Sport Italia. “We understand that a match lasts more than 90 minutes, and there was plenty of time left to turn it around. That's exactly what we did.”

Inter faces Roma next in a top-of-the-table clash, with both teams holding perfect records after four rounds.

“We have 19 rivals we need to secure results against this season, and Roma is one of them. We must go there and perform as needed.”

Bonny, who came off the bench to score, received special praise from Thuram.

“This is his second season here. He also played in the World Cup, so he has more experience now. He always works hard and contributes. I consider him one of the best players in Serie A,” Thuram stated.

An earlier Champions League defeat to Real Madrid, marked by costly individual errors, might have contributed to the sluggish starts. Inter also found themselves down 2-0 in that Bernabeu match, suggesting a recurring pattern.

“Like last season, we’re not just 11 players, but an entire squad ready to step up when needed,” Bonny responded. “Roma is a strong team, and it will be a tough match. We share the same objective as always: to win.”
