Silvio Baldini, the interim coach, has announced a 24-player roster for Italy’s friendly matches scheduled for June. However, an additional four players will also be joining the national team’s training sessions in Coverciano.

Italy is set to play against Luxembourg on June 3 and Greece on June 7, marking the conclusion of their season. This comes after their failure to secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup.

Baldini Invites Four More Players for Italy Training

The provisional coach Baldini’s selected squad features 24 players, with 19 of them receiving their inaugural call-up to the senior national team.

As confirmed by the Italian Football Federation, four additional players will participate in training with the Azzurri at their Coverciano base in the coming days to prepare for the upcoming friendlies.

These players are Tommaso Berti (Cesena), Niccolò Fortini (Fiorentina), Gabriele Guarino (Empoli), and Dominic Vavassori (Atalanta). They are scheduled to train with the rest of the squad from Thursday, May 28, to Sunday, May 31.

The Italian players are expected to arrive in Coverciano on May 28 to commence their preparations for the forthcoming friendlies. Italy’s last appearance in the World Cup was twelve years ago, in Brazil 2014.
