Brian Brobbey is once again a major player in the European transfer market. The Dutch striker for Sunderland, previously monitored by Juventus last summer as they sought to bolster their attack, is now attracting the attention of Premier League giants. Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal are reportedly in pursuit, with his valuation now reaching £50 million.

His most recent performance, a hat-trick against Manchester City, significantly amplified the spotlight on the centre-forward.

According to journalist Darren Lewis speaking to talkSPORT, Liverpool is set to join the race for the player, who is already on the radar of Manchester United and Arsenal.

Brobbey: From Juventus Interest to Premier League Spotlight

Brobbey's name is not entirely new to those who followed Juventus's transfer activities. During the summer, the Turin club evaluated several centre-forwards while rebuilding their attack for Luciano Spalletti. Kolo Muani was a long-term priority, and various profiles were linked with Juventus throughout the window, including Balogun, Sorloth, Pellegrino, Zirkzee, and later Retegui. Italian sources at the time documented an extensive scouting process for forwards.

Brobbey was also considered as part of Juventus's evaluations, but a concrete move never materialized.

Juventus ultimately made different choices, and Spalletti's current attacking lineup features a completely different structure, with Kolo Muani and Woltemade among the offensive focal points.

However, the Dutchman's performance in England could inevitably lead to some regret.

Sunderland's Brobbey Already Valued at £50 Million

Brobbey arrived at Sunderland in September 2025 for approximately £25 million, signing a contract until June 2029.

His first Premier League season concluded with 7 goals and 1 assist in 31 appearances, also contributing to Sunderland's qualification for the Europa League. His valuation has now virtually doubled. According to reports from England, Sunderland is unwilling to consider offers below £50 million. This figure clearly illustrates the striker's rapid development.

The performance against Manchester City could prove to be a real turning point. Scoring a hat-trick against one of the Premier League's strongest teams inevitably draws the attention of top clubs. At 24, he is also entering a phase of his career where he can still improve, yet he already has considerable international experience.

He has earned 16 caps for the senior Dutch national team, scoring four goals, according to data reported by a Spanish source.

The new development is Liverpool's potential entry into the fray. Darren Lewis suggested that the Reds are expected to compete for Brobbey, even though Anfield currently has Alexander Isak as their primary centre-forward.
