The high school basketball season had concluded in his native Bahamas. He then relocated to Florida, where he was actively participating in AAU circuits, though not yet in the high school basketball arena. It was at this juncture that Long Island Lutheran, a dominant force in basketball not only within New York but on a national scale, became cognizant of an undiscovered talent.
