Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic is pleased with comparisons to his compatriot Marcelo Brozovic and expresses a strong desire to remain at the San Siro for an extended period. He aims to achieve a “big leap” in his career and secure more trophies with the club.

Inter has recently clinched a domestic double, triumphing in both Serie A and the Coppa Italia. The Nerazzurri secured the Coppa Italia title by defeating Lazio 2-0 in the final on Wednesday.

Sucic is experiencing his inaugural season at the Stadio Meazza and is delighted with the team’s accomplishments this term. “I’m lucky to play for this amazing club,” he stated at a post-match press conference. “I can play everywhere to help the team, and in the end, the most important thing is to win the games. It doesn’t matter where I play; I don’t have a favorite position.”

The Croatian international has drawn parallels with his fellow countryman, Brozovic, this season. “Brozovic is a great player. I only have good words for him. I’m happy when they compare him to me,” Sucic remarked. “I try to do my best to help the team. The more you play, the better you get. I’m happy with this first year, and I hope to do big things with Inter in the future.”

The Nerazzurri are set to celebrate their Serie A title win with their supporters on Sunday at San Siro, following their home league match against Hellas Verona. A celebratory open-top bus parade is also scheduled to take place through the streets of Milan.

Sucic conveyed a message to the fans: “Amazing numbers in the stadiums and in the city. We need all people in Milan to be Nerazzurri. I saw how important it is for the people in Milan and the fans. They stay with us and support us. I’m glad to play with this amazing club. It’s a special feeling, in my first year here. I’m so happy.”

Regarding the impact of coach Cristian Chivu, who has secured two trophies in his first full Serie A season, Sucic commented, “I don’t think it’s only Chivu. He had the biggest impact, but it was also with the players. We started the new season. The coach helps us a lot. We came from a difficult season, but when the new campaign started, there were new trophies at stake. We won two, and next season we’ll aim for more. You can talk about private life with him; he’s a good person.”

Sucic confirmed his intention to stay at the club and not seek a new team in the summer. “As I said, I’m happy we won two trophies, and I want to make a big leap in the future,” he concluded. “I’m so happy in Milan, everyone knows. There will be changes, but the situation is similar.”
