Ivan Juric is set for a return to Serie A, as he formally terminated his contract by mutual consent with Atalanta, and will take over at newly-promoted Monza.

It has been a difficult few years for the Croatian tactician, who went through a series of clubs in a very short space of time.

Since September 2024, he has been at Roma for precisely 12 games, then went to Southampton that same season for 16 matches before being fired there too.

He started the 2025-26 campaign with Atalanta, but was dismissed after just 15 competitive games in charge.

Before accepting a new role, he first had to terminate that contract by mutual consent, which was made official by Atalanta this afternoon.

Monza can now announce that Juric will be their new coach, taking them back into Serie A after a year away.

Paolo Bianco had been on the bench of the Lombardy club to secure promotion via the play-offs, but he terminated the contract by mutual consent on June 19.

Bianco has already been appointed as the new coach of recently-relegated Pisa in Serie B.
