

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Senators have confirmed the re-signing of defenceman Donovan Sebrango, an Ottawa native, to a one-year, two-way contract. The announcement was made on Thursday.
The 23-year-old blueliner made his National Hockey League debut last season, featuring in two games for the Senators. In addition, Sebrango played in 50 American Hockey League (AHL) games with the Belleville Senators, where he contributed eight goals and 12 assists from the defensive position, tallying 20 points overall.
Sebrango was initially drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round (63rd overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft. He joined the Senators organization in July 2023 as part of the significant trade that saw forward Alex DeBrincat move to Detroit.
