The Professional Fighters League (PFL) is mourning the loss of a valued member of its staff.
On Sunday, the league announced the tragic death of operations manager Jeff Brady. Brady passed away in Arizona after heroically saving the lives of two children who were drowning in a river. Jeff Brady had a long and impactful career in operations management within mixed martial arts, having previously worked for Bellator before joining PFL. In his role, he was responsible for handling the league`s merchandise, apparel, and consumer products.
The news of Jeff`s death was initially shared publicly by his twin brother, Greg Brady, who posted a deeply moving tribute on Instagram.
Today, I lost my twin brother, my best friend, my other half, and now my hero. In an act of incredible bravery, he gave his life saving two young boys from drowning at the place both of us call our Lil’ Slice of Paradise, the lower river. That’s who he was… selfless, fearless, and always putting others before himself. He didn’t think twice. He saw someone in need, and he acted, just like he always did.
There are no words to describe the pain of losing someone who has been a part of me since the beginning. We shared everything… laughter, struggles, dreams, and memories I’ll hold onto forever. My heart is broken, but I am also incredibly proud of the man he was and the hero he’ll always be remembered as.
If you knew him, honor him by living with the same courage and kindness he showed every day. Heaven gained a Viking Angel.
Following the announcement and Greg`s tribute, numerous fighters from across the mixed martial arts community shared messages of condolence and respect for Jeff Brady. This included prominent athletes who may not have competed under the PFL banner, such as former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
Commenting on Greg Brady`s post, Tyron Woodley wrote, “Wow. One time for Jeff! An amazing human. Condolences to your family. Long live your legacy.”
Other notable fighters offering their tributes and support to the Brady family included Cris Cyborg, Dakota Ditcheva, and the brothers Patricio and Patricky Pitbull, among many others.
