The official poster for UFC 319 has been unveiled, showcasing the highly anticipated middleweight championship bout between current titleholder Dricus du Plessis and undefeated contender Khamzat Chimaev.
This event marks the UFC`s return to the United Center in Chicago and is scheduled to take place on August 16th.
Dricus du Plessis (23-2 overall, 9-0 in UFC) is set to defend his championship belt once again. Since joining the promotion in 2020, he has maintained a perfect record inside the octagon. Du Plessis captured the middleweight title by defeating Israel Adesanya and successfully defended it in his last outing against Sean Strickland.
Standing across from the champion will be Khamzat Chimaev (13-0 overall, 8-0 in UFC). Known for his aggressive style and finishing abilities, Chimaev has secured six of his eight UFC victories via knockout or submission. In his most recent appearance, he earned a dominant submission victory over former champion Robert Whittaker.
While the co-main event for the card has not yet been officially announced, the UFC 319 lineup features several other notable matchups.
Key fights expected on the card include a middleweight clash between veteran contender Jared Cannonier and Michael `Venom` Page, along with a compelling welterweight bout featuring Geoff Neal facing Carlos Prates.
