The Los Angeles Lakers appointed Natalia Bryant as the creative director for their preseason promotional video, bringing a familiar presence to the project and infusing it with a unique artistic flair.
Her captivating video, aptly titled `Forever Iconic: Purple and Gold Always,` showcased an impressive ensemble of celebrity figures. This star-studded cast included baseball sensation Shohei Ohtani from the Los Angeles Dodgers, legendary Lakers icon Magic Johnson, dedicated Lakers supporter and accomplished actor Brenda Song, and the celebrated jacket designer Jeff Hamilton.
Among the video`s most memorable segments were Brenda Song`s humorous re-enactment of a viral LeBron James meme, where she enthusiastically exclaims “it`s our ball, ain`t it?”. Another highlight featured basketball star Luka Dončić playfully shouting “Kobe” as he executed a stylish step-back move to toss a towel into a trash can. Towards the conclusion, Magic Johnson made a grand appearance, holding a coveted Larry O`Brien Trophy and declaring, “It`s Showtime, baby.” In a deeply touching tribute, Natalia also incorporated an iconic clip of her late father, the revered Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, securing a game-winning shot against the Phoenix Suns during the intense 2006 NBA playoffs.
Taking to Instagram, Natalia expressed her profound honor and gratitude for being involved in such a meaningful project, concluding her heartfelt post with the poignant declaration, “Lakers family forever”.
Earlier this year, in May, Natalia achieved a significant milestone by graduating from the prestigious University of Southern California`s School of Cinematic Arts. Building on her burgeoning career, she also appeared alongside New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson in a Nike advertisement in August, promoting the highly anticipated Kobe 3 Protro sneakers.
The Los Angeles Lakers are gearing up to commence their regular season on October 21st, where they will face off against the formidable Golden State Warriors.
