The Nashville Predators hockey club has successfully secured the fifth overall pick from the 2025 NHL Draft, signing him to a long-term agreement.
Eighteen-year-old center Brady Martin officially signed a three-year entry-level contract, the Predators announced on Wednesday.
A native of Elmira, Ontario, Martin spent the last two seasons with the Soo Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). During the 2024-25 season, he served as an alternate captain and delivered his best performance, accumulating a career-high 72 points (33 goals and 39 assists) in 57 games.
This physically imposing forward also demonstrated discipline, logging 68 penalty minutes while maintaining an impressive plus-25 rating.
On the international stage, Martin has already earned two gold medals. He helped his national team secure victory at the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, and in 2025, as an alternate captain, he also took gold at the IIHF U18 World Championships.
Nashville selected Martin fifth overall in June`s draft. This marks the highest draft pick for the Predators since Seth Jones, who was chosen fourth in 2013, underscoring the significance of this acquisition for the franchise.
