As training camp commences, the Toronto Maple Leafs find themselves already facing an early challenge with a player sidelined.
General Manager Brad Treliving announced on Wednesday that forward Max Domi is currently considered day-to-day due to a lower-body injury.
Treliving explained that Domi sustained a minor ailment in recent weeks, which will prevent him from fully participating at the start of camp.
Last season, the 30-year-old Winnipeg native appeared in 74 games for Toronto, contributing eight goals and 25 assists.
During the playoffs, his performance escalated, as he accumulated seven points (three goals, four assists) across 13 games.
This season, Domi is expected to help compensate for the offensive void left by Mitch Marner`s move to Vegas.
