The Calgary Flames officially announced on Wednesday that they have reached a three-year contract extension agreement with impactful forward Martin Pospisil. This significant deal is valued at US$7.5 million in total, translating to an average annual value (AAV) of $2.5 million.

Hailing from Zvolen, Slovakia, Pospisil achieved a personal best last season, accumulating 25 points, comprising four goals and 21 assists. He also recorded a notable 84 penalty minutes over 81 appearances for the Flames, showcasing his robust and determined presence on the ice.

Since his NHL debut on November 4, 2023, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound forward has established himself as a physical force. He has led the Flames with an impressive 539 hits, a remarkable total that also ranks him as the third-highest in the entire league during that specific period, underscoring his hard-nosed and impactful playing style.
