Preview Juventus hold Retegui talks as Fenerbahce call Openda

Juventus is reportedly engaging in discussions for Mateo Retegui, following previous talks involving AC Milan. Meanwhile, Turkish club Fenerbahce has expressed interest in Lois Openda.

Italian international Retegui is keen on returning to Serie A after a single season with Al-Qadisiya. His father has reportedly held direct talks with Juventus recently, and earlier this week, one of Retegui’s agents also met with Milan director Igli Tare.

While Randal Kolo Muani remains Juventus’ primary attacking target, Retegui is also on their radar, alongside Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United and Chelsea-owned Nicolas Jackson. The Bianconeri are committed to securing a new centre-forward for the 2026-27 season, irrespective of Dusan Vlahovic’s potential contract extension.

Juventus is also open to considering offers for Jonathan David and Openda. Fenerbahce, managed by former Belgium coach Domenico Tedesco, has already made an initial inquiry regarding Openda.

Retegui has returned to Italy to prepare for the Azzurri’s upcoming World Cup play-off. The striker, who was Serie A’s top scorer in the 2024-25 season, has scored five goals in six matches under coach Gattuso.
