NBA star James Harden recently witnessed the significant global reach of the league firsthand during his tour.
On Monday, while on his Adidas UNO Tour in Guangzhou, China, the LA Clippers guard was presented with a newly unveiled outdoor basketball court. This court prominently features a large mural of Harden himself. As reported by the Clippers, designer Yin incorporated the 2025 UNO Tour visuals into the court`s aesthetic, including the tour`s motto `Under No One` along one sideline. This slogan cleverly references Harden`s jersey number, 1.
Despite the rain, the court`s unveiling proceeded. Harden initially appeared surprised as the tarp was removed, but his expression quickly turned to joy, culminating in him pumping his fists enthusiastically.
“Thank you all. I know it`s raining, but your support means so much to me; I truly love you all,” Harden expressed to the hundreds who gathered for the event despite the weather.
Earlier in his tour, thousands of fans flocked to a Guangzhou City mall to greet Harden, where he signed his distinctive Adidas sneakers and jerseys.
In a social media post, Harden conveyed his appreciation, remarking, “You consistently impress me; each time feels as fresh as the first… I sincerely hope you understand that this affection is mutual.”
Since 2019, Harden has regularly visited China to promote the newest iterations of his signature Adidas footwear. Notably, during a 2023 tour, while still with the Philadelphia 76ers, he gained widespread attention for publicly criticizing 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey, shortly before his trade to the Clippers.
In late June, Harden finalized a new two-year, $81.5 million contract with the Clippers. During the 2024-25 season, he achieved All-NBA third-team recognition, averaging 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 8.7 assists.
