The ad depicts Brunson entering a New York jewelry store, seeking `something special.` Amidst an array of dazzling pieces, an all-white Kobe 3 Protro sneaker captures his attention. As Bryant meticulously polishes the shoe, Brunson inquires, `What’s she working on?`
When he attempts to seize the sneaker, she promptly pulls it away, delivering the memorable line, `You reach, I teach.` Bryant then proceeds to quiz Brunson, assessing his worthiness for the footwear. She concludes by stating he `might be ready, but I’m still not convinced,` before dismissing him.
These sneakers represent the re-release of the renowned design worn by Kobe Bryant during his MVP season in 2007-08. According to Nike, they are engineered for contemporary basketball while honoring Kobe`s enduring legacy. This particular reintroduction marks Nike`s most comprehensive Kobe Protro initiative to date.
A distinctive detail of the shoes is the incorporation of new diamond patterns on the upper and outsole, a tribute to Natalia, whose middle name is Diamanté.
