The 28-year-old fighter from Portugal unleashed a devastating spinning back elbow in the first round of his bantamweight contest, which completely floored his opponent, Anas Azizoun.
Commentators were visibly stunned as Oliveira stepped into the pocket for an exchange before launching the spinning back elbow. The strike landed perfectly, rendering Azizoun unconscious before he even hit the mat.
The impressive finish occurred at the 3:25 mark of the opening round.
This spectacular knockout is expected to significantly boost Oliveira`s profile following such a decisive victory.
Following his win, Oliveira dedicated the moment to Portuguese soccer player Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away in a car crash on July 3. Oliveira wore a handmade shirt bearing Jota`s name and number while being announced as the winner.
