Veteran British boxing promoter Frank Warren is reportedly on the verge of launching a massive $1 billion lawsuit against Zuffa Boxing and TKO Holdings Group.

His company, Queensberry Promotions, has already communicated its intent to sue Saudi Arabia’s Sela and TKO Group Holdings. The core of the dispute revolves around alleged breach of contract concerning the establishment of Zuffa Boxing.

Queensberry is reportedly seeking compensation of up to $1 billion, representing the potential income it claims it would have secured had the purported contractual agreements been upheld.

The promotion asserts it entered into an exclusivity agreement with Sela in September 2023, designed to provide ‘operational expertise.’ Furthermore, Queensberry claims a distinct agreement existed with TKO Group, granting them access to sensitive data, including particulars of Queensberry’s arrangement with Sela. Warren emphasizes the privileged nature of this shared information.

However, Sela and TKO proceeded to finalize a five-year deal and collaboratively launched Zuffa Boxing in June 2025, reportedly without Queensberry’s participation. Sela, for its part, refutes Warren’s allegations.

A spokesperson for Sela expressed disappointment regarding what they termed as “unfounded claims” from Queensberry and Frank Warren. They stated, “We reject them in their entirety and are confident that the facts will fully vindicate our position.”

It has been observed that Queensberry served as a key promotional partner for Saudi Arabia’s boxing ventures from late 2023 until mid-2025. This long-standing relationship evidently deteriorated leading up to the establishment of Zuffa Boxing.
