Preview FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Schedule & Scores

The summer football calendar features a significant new addition with the expanded FIFA Club World Cup in 2025. This marks the debut of the larger competition, held in the United States and involving 32 teams from confederations worldwide. Clubs are competing not only for the prestigious title but also for a share of a substantial prize pool reported to be $1 billion.

The tournament includes many top-tier teams. Among them are UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and prominent South American clubs like Boca Juniors, all aiming for deep runs. European sides constitute the largest contingent with 12 teams. South America is represented by six clubs, while Asia and Africa each send four. North America contributes five teams, three of which are from MLS. Oceania has one representative, Auckland City, notably the sole amateur team in the competition.

Although the goal is universally to win, the stakes and expectations vary. Teams labeled as underdogs, such as Lionel Messi`s Inter Miami and Simone Inzaghi`s Al-Hilal, hope to challenge the dominance expected from European powerhouses. Conversely, clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Inter Milan (Simone Inzaghi`s former club, seeking a final trophy after domestic and continental near-misses) are under pressure to perform strongly.

As the matches unfold, here is an overview of the schedule and results from the Club World Cup so far:
