Preview EIHL Week 29: Belfast Giants Chase Title as Easter Weekend Heats Up

The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) gears up for an action-packed Week 29, highlighted by the Belfast Giants’ quest for the championship title. The Giants are just two points away from clinching the crown, with the trophy poised to be presented at the SSE Arena during their crucial double-header against the Nottingham Panthers this Friday and Saturday. Should they not secure the title on home ice, the celebration will potentially move to Manchester on Sunday.

The Easter weekend kicks off with a four-game Friday night. Alongside Belfast’s title chase, the Sheffield Steelers will visit the Dundee Stars, Guildford Flames will face Manchester Storm, and the Glasgow Clan will host the Fife Flyers in a highly anticipated Scottish derby.

Saturday features a full slate of games. Nottingham will continue their road trip with the second leg against Belfast. Sheffield and Dundee will meet again, this time at the Utilita Arena. The Fife Flyers will return home to battle Coventry Blaze, while Cardiff Devils take on Manchester Storm. An early game sees Guildford host Glasgow.

Sunday’s fixtures include Coventry welcoming Cardiff to the Skydome, and Manchester Storm playing their rearranged games.
