The Major League Baseball (MLB) trade deadline for 2025 is scheduled for Thursday, July 31st, at 6:00 PM ET / 3:00 PM PT. As teams intensify their efforts to strengthen rosters for a postseason push, this tracker provides a real-time overview of all significant transactions completed before the deadline.

July 17

  • Atlanta Braves acquire: Right-Handed Pitcher (RHP) Dane Dunning
  • Texas Rangers acquire: RHP José Ruiz, Cash Considerations

After five seasons with the Rangers, Dunning, 30, moves to Atlanta to bolster their pitching depth. He had a 3.38 ERA in 10.2 innings for Texas this season. Ruiz, who has played for both the Braves and Phillies organizations in 2025, holds an 8.82 ERA over 16.1 MLB innings.

July 16

  • Kansas City Royals acquire: Infielder (IF) Adam Frazier
  • Pittsburgh Pirates acquire: IF Cam Devanney

Frazier returns to the Royals, where he spent 2024. The versatile utility player recorded a .654 OPS with three home runs and 21 RBIs in 78 games for the Pirates this season. Pittsburgh receives Devanney, a 28-year-old utility infielder who tallied 18 home run and 55 RBIs at Triple-A in 2025.

July 10

  • Tampa Bay Rays acquire: RHP Bryan Baker
  • Baltimore Orioles acquire: Competitive Balance Round A Draft Pick

Baker was a key bullpen asset for the Orioles this season, striking out 50 batters with a 3.52 ERA over 38.1 innings. His trade to Tampa Bay resulted in the 37th-overall pick in the 2025 draft for Baltimore, which was later used to select high school outfielder Slater de Brun.

June 15

  • San Francisco Giants acquire: Third Baseman (3B)/Designated Hitter (DH) Rafael Devers
  • Boston Red Sox acquire: Left-Handed Pitcher (LHP) Kyle Harrison, RHP Jordan Hicks, RHP Jose Bello, Outfielder (OF) James Tibbs III

In a shocking mid-season deal, the Red Sox traded three-time All-Star Rafael Devers, 28, to the Giants amidst a challenging season for the player. Despite off-field issues, Devers maintained strong offensive numbers for Boston, posting a .905 OPS with 15 home runs through 73 games. In return, the Red Sox acquired two major-league pitchers, Harrison and Hicks, along with two prospects, Tibbs III and Bello.
